PROJECT ADVENTURE

Jeddah, KSA
The 82,000 square meter landscape design project in Jeddah, set to become the first park in Saudi Arabia and the GCC dedicated to adventure and athletic activities. This groundbreaking park will feature an array of thrilling experiences, including zip lines, hanging ropes, wall climbing, obstacle courses, cycling, and various athletic games.
As the main consultant, Schaduf crafted an innovative masterplan with the primary goal of seamlessly integrating these adventurous activities while preserving the natural essence of an open park. Our design team adopted a holistic approach, meticulously planning over 18 different athletic activities to meet international sports federation standards. These activities are harmoniously woven into the natural open spaces, creating a unique blend of excitement and tranquility.
One of the iconic features of this project is its commitment to sustainability. The design incorporates eco-friendly materials and practices, ensuring that the park not only provides a space for adventure but also respects and enhances the natural environment. This project stands as a testament to Schaduf’s dedication to creating sustainable, innovative, and engaging landscapes.
The sustainable design features of this project are truly remarkable. Schaduf has incorporated several eco-friendly elements to ensure the park not only provides a space for adventure but also promotes environmental stewardship.
Firstly, the park utilizes native and drought-resistant plants to minimize water usage and maintain the natural biodiversity of the area. These plants are strategically placed to create lush, green spaces that require minimal maintenance and irrigation.
Additionally, the park’s infrastructure is designed with energy efficiency in mind. Solar panels are installed to harness renewable energy, reducing the park’s carbon footprint. The lighting systems throughout the park use LED technology, which is both energy-efficient and long-lasting.
Water conservation is another key aspect of the design. The park features an advanced irrigation system that uses recycled water and rainwater harvesting techniques. This system ensures that water is used efficiently and sustainably, supporting the park’s lush landscapes without depleting local water resources.
Finally, the park is designed to encourage environmental education and awareness. Informational signage and interactive exhibits are placed throughout the park to educate visitors about the importance of sustainability and the specific eco-friendly practices implemented in the park’s design.
These sustainable design features highlight Schaduf’s commitment to creating innovative and environmentally responsible landscapes that enhance both the community and the natural environment.
