Schaduf Landscape Architects welcomed a high-level delegation from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing, Urban-Rural Development and Management during an official visit to the firm’s Cairo headquarters.






The delegation was led by Mr. Pei Xiao, Deputy Director-General, and included senior representatives responsible for project construction, quality and safety supervision, and standards and norms. The visit formed part of the delegation’s official program in Egypt and focused on professional exchange around sustainable urban development and landscape-led planning.
Hosted by Eng. Khaled Mohamed Abdelgawad, CEO of Schaduf Landscape Architects, the meeting addressed key themes including landscape architecture, green architecture, urban planning strategies, and the coordination between heritage protection and contemporary urban development.
During the session, Schaduf Landscape Architects—established in 2011 and operating as part of the Schaduf Group—presented its design philosophy, project experience, and approach to integrating environmental responsibility with long-term urban performance.
Both parties emphasized the value of international dialogue, knowledge exchange, and the exploration of future professional collaboration frameworks. The visit reflects a shared interest in resilient cities, contextual design, and environmentally responsive urban environments.
