Project Overview

Strategically adjacent to New Cairo’s most significant landmarks, Solana East Compound embodies refined luxury across 168 acres. The community comprises townhouses, twin houses, and standalone villas, each crafted to deliver unparalleled comfort. Schaduf led the master planning and detailed landscape design—based on SB Architects’ concept—from schematic layouts through tender documentation, forging a cohesive vision that respects the natural terrain while championing sustainable urban living.

Challenges
  • Site Integration: Seamlessly weaving expansive green networks into a high-density residential framework without compromising circulation or privacy.
  • Ecological Connectivity: Establishing continuous ecological corridors to link diverse neighborhoods with the adjacent major lake and support local biodiversity.
  • Amenity Diversity: Balancing a variety of recreational, social, and contemplative spaces—parks, walking trails, water features—within a singular, harmonious design language.
Solutions
  • Interconnected Green Corridors: We designed a system of lush linear parks and tree-lined boulevards that thread through each residential enclave, providing direct pedestrian and cycling access toward the central lake.
  • Thematic Recreational Zones: Strategically placed parks, gardens, and shaded promenades encourage outdoor activity and community gathering, while water features and seating alcoves create moments of calm and respite.
  • Sustainable Plant Palette & Infrastructure: Native, drought-tolerant species minimize irrigation demand; permeable paving and stormwater swales manage runoff; extensive cycleways and pedestrian paths reduce reliance on automobiles.

Outcomes
  • Vibrant, Cohesive Community: Residents enjoy seamless access to nature at every turn—connecting homes, amenities, and the lake in a continuous green fabric.
  • Enhanced Ecological Health: The ecological corridors support wildlife movement and strengthen local habitat networks, reinforcing New Cairo’s green infrastructure.
  • Enduring Livability: Thoughtful integration of active and passive spaces fosters well-being, social interaction, and a strong sense of place.

Conclusion

Through meticulous planning and innovative design, Schaduf has transformed Solana East into a model of sustainable luxury living. By marrying natural systems with urban form, we have delivered a landscape that delights the senses, nurtures ecology, and endures for generations.
